Job Title:  Construction Estimator

Location:  Rapid City, SD / Fort Worth, TX

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in our company by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction management, project management, and estimating.

Desired Candidates have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Military / Healthcare Construction Sector
  • RS Means Cost Estimating
  • Firm-Fixed Pricing with Divisional Breakdowns
  • Emphasis in Roofing
  • Emphasis in Heavy Civil
  • Emphasis in Plumbing

Duties:

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
  • Utilize software and spreadsheets to create detailed estimates by division.
  • Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project expenses.
  • Research and analyze market trends to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Prepare bid proposals and negotiate contracts with clients.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make necessary adjustments to maintain budgetary control.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field crews, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate cost projections.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in construction estimating or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using software and other estimating tools.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Title:  Accountant 

Location:  REMOTE (Potentially Cleburne, TX)

Overview:

We are looking for a talented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry.

This is a fully remote position, with the possibility of an office opening in Cleburne, TX in the future.

In this role, you will help manage and oversee various aspects of our company’s financial operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, providing insights for financial planning, and continuously improving our processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Records & Reports:

    • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks accounting software.
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and reports.

    Bookkeeping

    General Ledger & Reconciliation:

    • Manage the general ledger and sub-ledgers and conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.

    Tax Compliance:

    • Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory documents.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

    Accounts Payable & Receivable:

    • Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring timely payments and collections.

    Budgeting & Forecasting:

    • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for adjustments.

    Internal Controls & Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
    • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

    Audit Coordination:

    • Coordinate with external auditors and contribute to fulfilling annual audit requests.
    • Address and rectify any discrepancies or issues identified during audits.
    • Actively seek and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.

      Skills and Experience:

      • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
      • A certification in construction accounting is preferred.
      • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in private or public accounting.
      • Excellent knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial procedures.
      • Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks.
      • Working knowledge of the construction industry.
      • Solid analytical and mathematical skills.
      • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
      • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
